The Indian Miniature

A project that came to fruition with my wife and sister in law's vision in mind; to replicate the Indian miniature paintings native to India and Central Asia through photograph.

Being a narrative driven style of portraiture, Indian miniatures normally provoke you to think about the nature, character and personality of its muse through objects or attire. Artists would often also paint intricate frames, borders to help draw attention and focus onto their subject. This project was to honour that tradition.
